Can you think of carrots without thinking of Bugs Bunny? Go ahead. Try. I dare you. It can’t be done. Even when cake is on the mind, the carrot brings the image of a bucked tooth mammal chopping on the veggie and spitting out wisecracks.
If this is the image people put in their heads, how can you dress it up to be a sophisticated dessert? Frosting, of course. Instead of the traditional spread of frosting around the sides and then covered with nuts, we’ve left the sides open to reveal each layer. The traditional cream cheese frosting is tangy, but still sweet enough to give a treat while you eat your veggies.
